Set in a white, digitally animated environment, I infinite is a stark captivating multi-media dance piece created and danced by Tom Dale.
This solo work is inspired by artificial precision and a re-evaluation of natural movement laws as a character locked within finite solutions searches for the infinite.
The movement is strange and somehow moves between robotic isolation and liquid fluidity. Opposing dynamics are fused to create movement that looks unreal, or as though it has been altered in a special effects lab, the movement style manages to create illusions of automaton and hidden drive. Mesmerising, exciting, melancholic and thought provoking is this both characterful yet abstract artistic expression.
